Edin Dzeko says Tuesday night's Old Trafford display once again proved Manchester City are now the dominant force in their city.
City secured a Premier League double over United, with Dzeko scoring twice in a comfortable 3-0 win, to maintain their title charge.
Manuel Pellegrini's men now lead United by 15 points, and have two games in hand, over their near neighbours. And looking at the league table makes it hard to disagree with Dzeko's assessment that City are the current kings of Manchester.
"It's always good to win in a derby, especially when you win it like we did," he told City TV.
"It was great for the fans to be here and to celebrate again.
"We are happy for them because a derby is something special and we showed them again who is the boss in the city.
"We could have scored another two in the first 30 minutes but we controlled the game, it was all about us.
"It could have been more but we were happy with 3-0."
