On Thursday, the first day when tickets went on sale, in just four hours Atléti sold 7,000 to those season ticket holders who do not have the full subscription. And yesterday the spectacular volume of sales was maintained throughout the morning.
As it was Saturday, the Vicente Calderón stadium was packed with Atléti fans trying to make sure of a ticket for the game against Mourinho's men. And again yesterday a good number of the tickets available were sold. On the first day, sales reached 7,000, and on the second they sold a further 6,000.
If we remember that about 30,000 season ticket holders have the full subscription, and therefore, the right to attend the Chelsea game, and that 5% of the seats have to go to the visitors, it is highly probable that Atlético will be announcing in a day or two that here are no tickets left. The importance of the occasion almost demands it. Simeone's team are just two matches away from the final of the Champions League.
