WALKOVER!!! Eaglets Reach Wafu Cup U-17 Semi-Final

Nigeria U-17 team have booked a place in the semi final of the West African Football Union B cadet tournament following the withdrawal of Niger Republic.

Emmanuel Amuneke’s boys were billed to face the Nigeriens in Saturday’s Group B opener billed for the Stade Municipal only to be informed of their opponents late minute pull out.

With this development, the Golden Eaglets will now face Mali in a two-legged tie fixed for April 21 and 23 to determine which team tops Group B of the championship.


Hosts Togo will be aiming to qualify for the last four of the championship when they lock horns with Benin Republic and Cote d’Ivoire in Group A.
