WOW!!! England's Man City Tops List Of Sports Highest Wages Payer

The Guardian, in conjunction with the good people at Sporting Intelligence, have gone about investigating which teams in world sports are the best compensated on the planet.

In what may not be the most surprising news ever, Manchester City’s players are listed as the best paid sportsmen in the world, while four clubs in the Premier League are listed in the top ten best payers in world sport. Working up the list, Liverpool fall just outside the top ten biggest spenders with their stars said to be earning an  average £3.4m per man per year.

Above the Scousers, Arsenal are said to pay their stars an average of £3.9m a season, Chelsea’s stars are on £4m a season, and Manchester United’s underperforming team get an average of £4.3m per campaign.

Top of the payers though is Manchester City, whose stars get an average of £5.3m per campaign working out at an average weekly wage of £102,653.
