The Serbian-born German international will link up with the Italian side ahead of the Serie A season, which begins with an away game against Ashley Cole’s Roma on 30 August.
Marin joined Chelsea in April 2012 and appeared 16 times during his first season, scoring once. He spent last season on loan with Sevilla, picking up a Europa League winner’s medal.
