Chelsea Keen On Signing PSG Right Back Gregory van der Wiel

Mino Raiola, the agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, was in London on Thursday, according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Raiola also represents PSG right back Gregory van der Wiel and Di Marzio confirms that Chelsea are interested in the Dutchman.

Di Marzio suggests that PSG are keen to renew the contract of van der Wiel, who looks unlikely to play a major role for the Parisians in the coming campaign.


Serge Aurier is likely to be the first choice PSG right back in 2015/2016 and van der Wiel has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Di Marzio claims Raiola and Chelsea representatives may have spoken about Zlatan Ibrahimovic but currently the agent is concentrating on the future of van der Wiel.

Branislav Ivanovic was widely criticised for his Chelsea display against Swansea last Saturday with Jefferson Montero hugely impressive on the left wing for the Welsh side.

Van der Wiel does look like a player that would suit the Premier League, it does remain questionable though whether Jose Mourinho is searching for a replacement for Ivanovic though.
