I Saw A Good Eagles Team Against DRC - Sunday Oliseh

Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has insisted that even though his team lost 2-0 to DR Congo, he saw “a very good team”.

Two first-half goals by DRC in Vise, Belgium, on Thursday night handed Oliseh his first loss in three matches as Super Eagles boss.

However, the coach said he had to play a makeshift team following a visa hitch that caused Turkey-based defender Godfrey Oboabona and six players from the domestic league not to join the squad in Belgium in time.

Nigeria - Cameroon Match Moved To Edmond Machtens Stadium


The friendly between Nigeria Super Eagles and Cameroon will now be played at the Edmond Machtens Stadium in Brussels.

The capacity has a 11,000 capacity and it is the home ground of a Belgian second division club. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the venue change on Wednesday.

The match will be played on Sunday and kick-off time is 8pm.

Nigeria: Eagles, Oliseh To Get Strong Test Against Cameroon

Cameroun have named their strongest possible squad as they prepare to tackle Nigeria at the Stade Van Roy in an international friendly in Belgium next month.

Coach Volker Finke has named a 25 man squad to prosecute the October 11 game in Dendeleeuw, Belgium. The friendly international is aimed to prepare the teams for the start of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria is to face the winners between Djibouti or Swaziland while Cameroun awaits the winner of the Somalia versus Niger tie

Ghana, Togo Rejects Eagles Friendly

NIGERIA will now play next-door neigbours Niger in a friendly on September 9 in Port Harcourt after proposals to take on Ghana or Togo did not come through.

A top NFF official informed: “The match against Niger is now confirmed for Port Harcourt after the AFCON qualifier in Tanzania. The other proposals to play other neigbouring countries like Ghana and Togo did not fly.”

Having lost the Community Shield 1-0 to Arsenal last weekend, Jose Mourinho watched his Chelsea side slump to another 1-0 defeat on Wednesday night against Italian club Fiorentina.

The reigning Premier League champions were undone in the 34th minute as, after new summer signing Asmir Begovic saved from Matias Fernandez, the ball fell to Gonzalo Rodriguez who prodded home from close range.

Aside from the defeat, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado attracted plenty of criticism for their shifts for Chelsea in the match.

RIVALS: Chelsea To Play Barcelona In Friendly Today

The reigning Premier League champions close out their US pre-season tour on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, with a high-profile match against reigning La Liga and Champions League holders, FC Barcelona.

Following the Barca game, Chelsea will head back to England to prepare for Sunday’s Community Shield against Arsenal.

Kick off between Chelsea and Barcelona is at 1:05 am UK time on July 29, 2015. Chelsea v Barcelona is available worldwide except in the Caribbean, China, Ireland, Italy, Japan, UK, and USA.

FRIENDLY: Man City Goes On Rampage In 8-1 Trashing Of Vietnam

 Raheem Sterling continued his fine start to his Manchester City career with a double in their comprehensive 8-1 friendly win over Vietnam on Monday.

After opening his City account in his first appearance against Roma, Sterling went one better in Hanoi as he scored twice in 12 minutes against a national team ranked joint 143rd in the world.

The former Liverpool forward was not the only City player to find the back of the net twice in the Vietnamese capital, with Aleksandar Kolarov and David Silva also replicating the feat.

NIGERIA vs GREECE TONIGHT: All You Need To know

Nigeria's preparation for the Brazil 2014 Fifa World Cup will step up a notch when the Super Eagles take on the Greek national team in an international friendly in Pennsylvania, United States on June 3.

By the time the match kicks off at at the PPL Park in Chester, coach Stephen Keshi would have pruned down his 30-man squad to the final 23 that will wear Nigeria's colours at the prestigious tournament. .
