RIVALS: Chelsea To Play Barcelona In Friendly Today

The reigning Premier League champions close out their US pre-season tour on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, with a high-profile match against reigning La Liga and Champions League holders, FC Barcelona.

Following the Barca game, Chelsea will head back to England to prepare for Sunday’s Community Shield against Arsenal.

Kick off between Chelsea and Barcelona is at 1:05 am UK time on July 29, 2015. Chelsea v Barcelona is available worldwide except in the Caribbean, China, Ireland, Italy, Japan, UK, and USA.

The Blues and the Catalans last faced off in the Champions League back in 2012, when Chelsea picked up a 1-0 win over Barca at Stamford Bridge, before the Blues drew 2-2 away in the Camp Nou.

Overall, Chelsea boast an excellent recent record against Barca, as the Pensioners have won two and drawn five of their last seven meetings.

Jose Mourinho’s men could post another positive result today, particular as Lionel Messi and Neymar continue to be absent for Barca.

Possible line-ups:

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Matic, Zouma; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Costa

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Bartra, Pique, Mathieu, Alba; Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic; Rafinha, Suarez, Munir
