Arsenal must improve their consistency if they are to challenge for the Premier League title in 2015-16, according to Aaron Ramsey.
The Gunners’ performances in the second half of last season – they lost just two of their 18 Premier League games – propelled the club to their best league finish in four seasons, as they ended the campaign in third-place.
However, they suffered a difficult start in 2014-15, and found themselves 15 points behind eventual champions Chelsea after 12 games.
Ramsey, though, insists that the Gunners’ current squad is the best he has been involved in, and has challenged his team-mates to prove their worth over 38 games.
“Consistency is key," Ramsey told FourFourTwo.
"The form we showed towards the end of last season is the form we need to show throughout the new season if we want to be challenging for the title.
"In the last few years we've always had half a season where we've been the most consistent team – it would be great if we could do that back-to-back in one season.
"I think it's the best team we've had in a long while - probably the best team I've been involved in - and this club can get better. We're in a very strong position to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League."
Ramsey made 41 appearances in all competitions last term, scoring 10 goals.
