WINNERS!!! Wenger & Giroud Wins March's Coach & Player Of The Month

Arsenal's Olivier Giroud and Arsene Wenger have been named the Premier League's player and manager of the month, respectively. The Gunners won all four of their top-flight games in March, seeing off Everton, QPR, West Ham and Newcastle, with Giroud scoring against each of them.

The France international notched five goals and an assist in total as he even outperformed Tottenham star Harry Kane, who was pipped at the post for what would have been a record third win in as many months.

Instead, it is Giroud's first player-of-the-month trophy, making him the first Arsenal player to collect the award since September 2013, when Aaron Ramsey took the plaudits. It is also only the second time that a Gunner has won since Robin van Persie in 2011.

For the veteran Wenger, the prize is a more familiar thing, his 14th over a long career in north London, but it is his first since scooping the award alongside Ramsey. With consistency something of a problem for his side, the likes of Alan Pardew and Sam Allardyce have both won the manager's prize twice since the 65-year-old's last victory.

Giroud also scored against Monaco in the Champions League, highlighting the quality of his form in March after he had greatly disappointed against the same opponents in Arsenal's final game of February.
