At the top of the tree is Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola who bags €17 million a season at the Allainz Arena, while Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is in second spot earning €10 million a year at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger (€8.2m) and Manchester United boss David Moyes (€5.9m) come in at positions four and seven respectively, while the biggest shock on the list is West Ham manager Sam Allardyce at number 13.

Despite the Irons hovering above the drop zone, and taking into account the recent buyout of the club from Gold and Sullivan after the Hammers looked to be in dire financial straits, it’s startling to see Big Sam collecting €3.5 million a season.

If the data is true, Sam Allardyce out-earns Antonio Conte, Vincent del Bosque, Rafa Benítez, Laurent Blanc, Claudio Ranieri, Jogi Löw, Deigo Simeone.
