The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has insisted that the Super Eagles should try all their best to ensure they get to the semi final stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil next year.
With proper preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup set to start next March, the Nigeria Football Federation believes that the team is capable of achieving the feat as they have also promised to assist the technical crew led by Coach Stephen Keshi gets to the semi final.
Director of competitions at the NFF, Mohamed Sanusi added that negotiating the group stage shouldn’t be a problem for the Eagles.
“If we are to go back to history, one will notice that the odds are on our side because the last time we played Argentina in our opening game at the World Cup resulted in a loss and we did not eventually qualify out of the group but the two times that we did not play them in our opening game, we won and we made it out of the preliminary stage”
“As it is now, we will beat Iran and Bosnia to qualify out of the Group stage and get to the semi-final” Sanusi maintained.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will play Iran, Bosnia Herzegovina and Argentina in the first
