Warri Wolves player Sunday Mba may not be available for Nigeria when the African Nations Championship (Chan) kicks off next month in South Africa , as he is set to make a move to Europe.
Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, revealed on Thursday that Mba is on the verge of sealing a move to modest French club, Bastia; who nearly signed the player earlier in the year.
Daniel Amokachi, assistant coach of the Super Eagles further revealed that Mba is expected to leave the Super Eagles camp in Abuja as early as Friday, as he is not one of the players listed for the friendly game in Port Harcourt on Saturday against a Rivers selected side.
Amokachi said: ”We have resigned ourselves to fate and working hard to discover those who can fill Mba’s shoes, as he seems to have nicked a deal with Bastia and may not be part of Chan tourney.
“We just have to brace up and wish him the best because it’s a career thing.”
