Man City Tying To Hijack Pedro Deal From Man United

Could Manchester City be about to sign Pedro from under the nose of Manchester United? That's the rumour flying around town. Pedro has pace and he's talented.

That’s the story promulgated by Mundo Deportivo on Thursday morning, as it’s revealed that Man City have offered Barcelona a better deal for Pedro than the bid submitted from Old Trafford.

Barca have received a written offer from Man United for Pedro, for €25m up-front plus an additional €5m in incentives. By contrast, Man City have tabled only a verbal offer to the Catalans, but they are prepared to pay €30m at the start, plus another €2m in add-ons.

Just to muddy the waters that little bit more, Mundo Deportivo also say Chelsea have an interest in signing Pedro too, however the Blues are yet to show their cards by making any sort of bid.

MD confirm that Man United are still “favourites” for Pedro, as the player has a verbal agreement with the Red Devils. Pedro, say MD, “is a man of his word”.
