Barca & United Still In Talks Over Pedro

Barcelona and Manchester United are in talks over a deal for Pedro. The player looks like he will get his way and the remarks by Josep María Bartomeu seem to have done nothing to change his mind, after the president said that there would be no more players in or out of the squad.

Manchester United Set To Make £18 Bid For Pedro Rodriguez

Pedro Rodríguez doesn't look to have long left with the 'Azulgranas'. Manchester United have come on the scene, and they intend to do all they can to sign the player from the Canaries. Louis van Gaal has made his mind up and the English club will make an initial bid next week in the region of £18-20 million, around 25-29 million euros.

This sum should be looked on positively by the 'Azulgranas'. And this is exactly what United intend to do next week.

Pedro Set To Leave Barcelona

Pedro Rodríguez is aware that his days at Barcelona are numbered. His plan a few months ago was actually to leave this summer in search of more playing time. Two factors prevented his departure: Barcelona offered him a much-improved contract while at the same time informing the winger that they would not let him leave given the FIFA transfer sanction.

Pedro quickly put pen to paper, although his preference remained to join a new club rather than endure another year as a fringe player. The 27-year-old knows that his chances of leaving this summer are minimal. Luis Enrique does not want to run the risk of being short in the striking department if one of his lethal trio were to be ruled out by injury. It would only be conceivable if a big-money offer came in. The only suitors seemingly willing to do so are PSG, who could table a €25 million, but even in that scenario, Barcelona plan to hold firm.
