Chelsea are looking to make a last minute swoop for Manchester United bound Pedro Rodriguez according to the Daily Mail.
Earlier today news had broken that the Barcelona forward had agreed personal terms with the Red Devils ahead of a proposed transfer to Old Trafford. However it is understood that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has instructed the Blues’ hierarchy to make a late bid to bring the 28-year-old to Stamford Bridge following his sides lethargic performance during their humiliating 3-0 defeat to title rivals Manchester City on Sunday.
It remains to be seen whether or not the West London club have left it too late to snatch Pedro from under the nose of Louis Van Gaal’s side, but it is understood that at this moment in time the Spanish forward has his heart set on a move to Manchester. But as we know in football things can change very quickly
Manchester United fans will hope that the club complete the signing of Pedro sooner rather than later having already sign their local rivals Man City gazump the Reds in their bid to sign Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, who is closing in on a move to Eastlands this evening.
