Boxing: Fury Dares Federations To Strip Him Of All Titles

Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has spoken with a reporter from Channel 5 news about the IBF's decision to strip him of one of his world titles. During his frequent morning jog the reporter caught up with him on the run but the reporter hard to drop off when he couldn't compete with Fury again.

The 27-year-old will fight Wladimir Klitschko in his next fight instead of mandatory IBF challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov

Fury won the IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA titles when he beat Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf last month.

However, he has since been stripped of his IBF belt for opting to take on a rematch with Klitschko rather than face Vyacheslav Glazkov, the mandatory challenger for the IBF title.

Speaking to Channel 5 News on a morning jog, Fury said: "I think they should take all the belts off me if they want.

"If they want to take the belts, they can take them, but they will never take what I've done and my achievements."

A spokesman for the IBF said: "Following the title fight between Klitschko and Fury, the IBF became aware for the first time that there was a contractual agreement between both fighters for an immediate rematch.

"There were no provisions for any rematch in the contracts which were submitted to the IBF prior to the IBF agreeing to sanction the Klitschko vs. Fury bout."

The champion's uncle and trainer, Peter Fury, slammed the decision.

He said: "It's absolutely scandalous. I've not spoken to Tyson yet, but we're dealing with it. We've got a rematch that we're tied to. We have to take that fight.

"A fight of this magnitude, the IBF should only be too happy to be involved in such a megafight."

Fury has come under fire for an offensive rant he made last month, in which he compared homosexuality to paedophilia.

Following his win over Klitschko, Fury was named on the shortlist for the Sports Personality of the Year award.

Over 100,000 people have since signed a petition to have him removed from the shortlist.

However, pressed for comment on whether he feels disrespected by the outrage surrounding him, Fury could only say: "Bless be the Lord Jesus Christ. We have no hatred towards anybody, only love.

"Whatever I've said, I've said. All I can say is we don't hate anybody. Jesus loves the world, as do I."

Fury was reluctant to talk about the British Boxing Board of Control meeting which is taking place in Cardiff on Wednesday.

The board's monthly meeting will take place, with Fury's controversial comments on the agenda, and Fury could face a hefty fine for his comments or even a ban, the Telegraph claim.

He repeated: "Jesus loves the world", before adding, "bless be the Lord, that's all I can say."
