Temptation! Chinese Club Ready For £75million Rooney Deal

Rooney is a big name in modern football and the Man United and England skipper commands a large fan base all over the world. Chinese Super League are keen to recruit him with a purpose of a global face lift for the league with the Shanghai SIPG in the lead. A temptation to re-unite with Eriksson in China and a whopping £25m per season deal is enough temptation to lure Rooney to end his career in China.

Wayne Rooney is being offered an eye-watering £75million deal to be reunited with Sven Goran Eriksson in China.

The Chinese Super League want the Manchester United striker to become their poster boy and are ready to give the 30-year-old a three-year contract worth up to £25m per season.

Rooney’s likely destination — if he decides to leave Old Trafford — would be Shanghai SIPG, who are managed by former England manager Eriksson.

The financial package would include an image rights agreement that would see Rooney cash in if he can help increase the CSL’s global profile.

The CSL, who are also interested in Chelsea skipper John Terry, want Rooney to join as soon as possible, although they are willing to wait, such is their determination to land the striker.
