RUMOUR - Benzema Will Join Arsenal On A Mouth Watering €9m Per Season Deal

Karim Benzema moving from Real Madrid to Arsenal is a rumour that just won’t go away this summer.

On Wednesday the potentially massive transfer story took on a new lease of life, as Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli announced on Twitter that Benzema will join Arsenal on a 4-year contract worth €9m a season.

Giulianelli failed to note how much Arsenal need to shell out to Real Madrid to get the deal done.
So who is Emanuele Giulianelli, and can he be trusted?

Real Madrid Considering Arsenal's New £40 million Bid For Benzema

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a new offer from Arsenal for Karim Benzema. The Gunners have been linked with the French forward for much of the summer but official bids for Benzema have not been public knowledge.

Spanish football site Fichajes claim that Arsene Wenger has offered £40 million (€57m) for Benzema. Best to take this story with a pinch of salt.

But now that we know Wenger has a war chest, perhaps he has thrown a bit of money at the Spanish giants to tempt them into selling their first choice forward.

Is Benzema Asking Arsene Wenger To Come & Get Him?

With Karim Benzema being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, it’s surely no coincidence that the latest account he’s started following is Wengerland.

Oddly enough, Wengerland is not even a particularly big Arsenal fan account, with just 466 followers and 67 posts.

See The Top Six Strikers Wenger Is Targeting For Big Transfer

Arsenal director Lord Harris claims Arsene Wenger has funds available to break their transfer record on a top-class striker - but who could the Gunners target?

Goalkeeper Petr Cech has been the only signing of the summer but club director Harris says a new striker is "on Wenger's list", and that Arsenal could afford to break the record £42.5m they paid for Mesut Ozil on anyone bar Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

English newspaper reports suggest Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema could be Wenger’s mystery target, and he’s joined on our list by five other stars who could fit the bill as the Gunners look to strengthen their attack.

Arsenal, Wenger Ready To Splash £200m On Players Transfer

Wenger is certainly ready to make his side the EPL champion come next season. With the progress and news around it appears the French man is tired of the absence of the EPL trophy and he is been backed by the club now to buy any player at any rate with the exception of only Ronaldo and Messi.

With £200m cash reserves in the bank, Arsene Wenger has been told by the Arsenal board that he can go out and buy whoever he wants this summer – with the exception of Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The back page of the Mail claim that the Arsenal board are ready to back Wenger and allow him to spend as he pleases this summer.

Benzema 1000% Certain Of Not Leaving Madrid - Agent

Karim Benzema "is not looking to move anywhere this summer" according to his agent, who says the player will definitely stay at Real Madrid.

The agent of Karim Benzema has moved to quell speculation over the France striker's future, insisting he is "1,000 per cent" sure to remain at Real Madrid.

Benzema has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, but his representative, Karim Djaziri, ruled out a move for the 27-year-old on Thursday.

Despite stubborn resistance from an out-of-form Getafe side, a typically Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Real Madrid powered to a 3-0 win in La Liga. Cristiano Ronaldo was at the double as Real Madrid swept aside their Copa del Rey elimination at city rivals Atletico's hands with a 3-0 win at Getafe in La Liga.

A 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu only resulted in a 4-2 aggregate defeat as Real's Copa defence was ended at the quarter-final stage, with further frustrations creeping through in a goalless first half at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday.
