Suarez Is On Top Form - Luis Enrique

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique commended Luis Suárez's great game against Granada, though during the match he was annoyed by the poor condition of the pitch at the Los Cármenes stadium, and congratulated both sides "on keeping their feet on this surface"

"I'm very happy, and satisfied with the good work done by my team in the difficult circumstances surrounding the game. I congratulate the two sides on keeping their feet on this surface", he told the post-match press conference.

Luis Enrique was keen to steer clear of any controversy when asked what he thought of the statement by ex-Barcelona star Carles Rexach on Regiò 7, to the effect that he had begun the season with too many rules and regulations ('normas' in Spanish). "The only 'norma' I know of is Norma Duval (a Barcelona-born actress)", he joked. "Everything about this match was tricky as we had just returned from playing in the Champions League, and last season we lost here as well", he added.

"In every game, the opposing side uses every tactic they can to neutralise our attacking strength. We have tried to be a bit more forceful and direct to get ahead and not risk missing out on the final score", he went on..

Luis Enrique finished off by praising Barcelona's Uruguayan star forward Luis Suárez who both scored and provided the assist for Messi's goal in Barcelona's 3-1 win over Granada. "Ever since he started playing he has been top quality, and now with his goals he is doing things which are even more to the liking of our fans, but for us he has always done a special and useful job", he said.
