Brown Ideye Injured & Subbed In Southampton Clash

Brown Ideye picked up an 87th-minute injury during Saturday’s Premier League match for West Brom against Southampton at the Hawthorns.

The Young Nigerian forward who’s only starting to find his footing in English football, made yet another start for the Baggies as they sealed a 1-0 win on Saturday over fifth-place Southampton; which could have very well have secured top flight football for them next season.

Ideye was quite active throughout the afternoon and had come close to adding to his tally of 3 goals already this season, but will find Fraser in Saint’s goal a difficult adversary.

The 26-year-old was replaced in the 88th-minute but got a well above average rating for his contribution to West Brom’s win.

The Nigerian posted a 77.8% passing accuracy in the oppositions half and was also useful to Tony Pulis’ defensive set-up, winning 6 duels and had a better day at the office than Southampton’s Graziano Pellè.

There’s no official statement yet on the extent of the injury.
