Brown Ideye's Turnaround Can Help Albion Survive Relegation - James Morrison

James Morrison reckons Brown Ideye’s timely turnaround could be the “little trigger” which sparks Albion’s Premier League survival mission and FA Cup crusade. Ideye’s four goals in a week helped ease the Baggies away from the top flight drop zone and fired them into a quarter final derby clash against Villa in the cup.

A goal in the draw at Burnley, a goal in the win over Swansea and a brace in the victory over West Ham took his tally to six and represented a remarkable transformation for the striker whose days at The Hawthorns seemed numbered as recently as a fortnight ago.

“It’s funny in football because little triggers spark you into form,” said Morrison.

“His performance at Burnley for half an hour set him up nicely. I think the partnership of Saido Berahino and him has come on really strong. It helps us as a team and goals win matches.

“He’s been fantastic with his all round performance and I’m happy for him. It’s been a long time coming.”

Morrison has welcomed the improved atmosphere at The Hawthorns since Tony Pulis took over on New Year’s Day – and he was thrilled by the support of the crowd against West Ham on Saturday.
