Head coach of the Nigerian team, Audu Adamu expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his team, saying “I am very happy and satisfied with the way the boys performed today, they really carried out the instructions and the training we had before this tournament was not in vain.
We didn’t know the Germans before this match. I want to believe that they knew us and they really prepared for us. We’re looking forward to the next game, as you can see, there are no smaller team anymore. The Lebanese team defeated Senegal who were the former Africa champions. These Lebanese team almost defeated us last year. So, we have to prepare ourselves if we really want to defend the title.”
