Kelechi Iheanacho Finally Signs Pre - Contract Agreement With Manchester City
FIFA U-17 best player, Kelechi Iheanacho has signed a pre-contract with Manchester City and will move to the Premier League club in October, when he turns 18.
The Golden Eaglets star’s father confirmed the transfer yesterday, after the deal seemed to have collapsed after a dispute between his parents and the club over bonus payments.
“The situation is that Kelechi hasn’t turned 18 yet and until he does, he can’t sign but what he has done is sign a pre-contract with Manchester City pending his 18th birthday,” Iheanacho’s father James told brilafm.net at the Confederation of African Football’s gala award ceremony in Lagos.
According to reports, the transfer fee is about £250,000, with a further £300,000 to be paid to the Taye Academy in Owerri and £350,000 to the wonderkid’s father.
