Former Nigeria international, Bartholomew Ogbeche, scored a goal and made another as his new club, Cambuur beat SC Heerenveen 3-1 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday.
The 29-year-old striker was lively from the start, setting up the first goal for Elvis Manu in the fourth minute.
Ogbeche doubled the lead a minute to the break after latching on to Marcel Ritzmaier's through ball.
Jody Lukoki made the match safe for Cambuur with the third goal on 69 minutes. Alfred Finnbogason scored a late consolation for Heerenveen, who had Nigerian-born former Hungary youth international Kenny Otigba on the bench.
The win lifts Cambuur to 13th place, and three points above the relegation zone, after 20 rounds of matches.
Ogbeche has played for a host of clubs in Europe since moving to French giants, Paris St. Germain in 2001. They include Bastia, Metz, Alavés, Valladolid and Middlesbrough.
He played for Nigeria at the 2002 Fifa World Cup and in the qualifying tournament for the 2006 edition hosted by Germany.
