Osaze Odemwingie Set To Join Stoke Today
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes said on Sunday that he expects to sign Peter Odemwingie on loan from Cardiff City on Monday, with Kenwyne Jones moving in the opposite direction.
Nigeria international Odemwingie, 32, joined Cardiff from West Bromwich Albion last September, but he has had to play second fiddle to Fraizer Campbell during his time in the Welsh capital.
Trinidad and Tobago striker Jones, meanwhile, is seeking more playing time after making only 10 appearances for Stoke so far this term.
Speaking after Stoke's 1-0 loss at Chelsea in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday, Hughes said: "It should go through tomorrow and will be concluded then.
"We're pleased to get Peter in. He's a good Premiership player with experience at this level, a goal in him and a bit of pace, which we need to add to the squad."
