Echiejile Sure Of Monaco Success

Nigeria defender Elderson Echiejile has said he hopes to quickly adjust to the French Ligue 1 after his recent switch to Monaco. The 26-year-old defender featured for Stade Rennes also in the French top flight before he moved to Sporting Braga of Portugal in 2010.

“I’m delighted with the chance offered me by Monaco to return to Ligue 1. I already know the league and so adjusting to it will be a lot easier,” Elderson told his official website www.elderson3.com

The Nigeria international has yet to make his Ligue 1 debut for title-chasing Monaco, but he has insisted he will grab his chance in the first team once he gets it.

France U19 international Layvin Kurzawa has pinned down the left full back position at Monaco, and Elderson said that has given coach Claudio Ranieri more options.

“The coach needs two good players in each position because that will give him more options,” he said.
