OLYMPIACOS 2 PANAITOLIKOS AGRINIO 1: In Form Olaitan Can't Stop Scoring
Nigerian midfielder, Michael Olaitan continues to prove that he can lead the line admirably for Greek club, Olympiacos Piraeus in the Super League. The former Nigeria under-20 star scored as Olympiacos beat Panaitolikos Agrinio 2-1 at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskáki on Sunday.
Olaitan finished impressively after he was played through by teammate Marko Šcepovic in the 26th minute.
It represents his second goal in as many weeks for the Thrylos after he netted against Skoda Xanthi on January 26.
Olaitan’s new found consistency in front of goal may prompt the Olympiacos manager, Jose “Míchel” del Campo to draft the midfielder in a more advanced position.
Olympiacos recently lost the services of their top scorer, Kostas Mitroglou who recently completed a switch to English Premier League club, Fulham.
Olaitan scored seven league goals in 29 league appearances for the club last season.
The 21-year-old has now scored five league goals this season in 12 appearances this season.
