STEPHEN KESHI: Yobo Worked For Recall

Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach, Stephen Keshi has maintained that Joseph Yobo had earned his return back to the national team as he was continuously being left out of the team by the gaffer after the successful 2013 AFCON in South Africa.

Yobo who has since made a return back to the English Premier League with a loan move to Norwich, a situation which has seen the former Everton player play more regularly.

In an exclusive chat with brilafm.net, Keshi affirmed that Yobo remains his captain as far as the national team is concerned.

“What I say, I stand by it. Yobo is still my captain but because he is doesn't mean that he will play in all the games even if he is not fit, no, that is not me”

Yobo who is Nigeria’s most capped player with 95 international caps is part of the 22-man list of players that will face the El Tri of Mexico in an international friendly in the USA on the 5th of March.
