PSG` Thiago Silva Wants Champions League Revenge On Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Thiago Silva is hoping for a repeat of last season's Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona.

Then under the tutelage of Carlo Ancelotti, the French champions were eliminated on away goals against the Blaugrana, with a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes leading to Pedro's equaliser in a 1-1 stalemate at Camp Nou which sent the Catalans through. And the Brazilian is looking for revenge this time out after his side sealed a place in the last eight with a 6-1 aggregate win over Bayer Leverkusen.

"I would have liked to have met AC Milan, my old club, but they've been knocked out," he told reporters.

"We are stronger than last year and whoever we get can expect two very difficult matches. But we'd be more focused against a big team.

"It wouldn't be bad to draw Barcelona to get our revenge. But we'd have to make sure that the result is the other way around."

Barca defeated Manchester City 4-1 on aggregate to book their place in the last eight of the tournament, with PSG, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid the other qualifiers to date.
