TIM CAHILL: David Moyes Will Succeed Has Man United`s Manager

Former Everton favourite Tim Cahill has told said David Moyes will succeed has Manchester United`s manager.

Moyes has endured a difficult debut season at the Old Trafford helm, with the defending Premier League champions currently sitting in seventh place, a massive 12 points outside the top four.

Rumours the Scot was set to resign surfaced last week after the Red Devils' Champions League hopes were left in tatters following a 2-0 defeat to Olympiacos, but the club were said to have been ‘baffled’ by the reports.

And Cahill, who spent eight seasons under Moyes at Goodison Park, believes the Scot needs to given time to settle and work his magic at United.

“I think he will come through it, most definitely,” the Australia international told Drivetime. “Your first season at a new club is always hard but he’s a great manager.

“There are a lot of teething problems with him at United, but hopefully he can come out the other side.

“He’s a top, world class manager and I think he just needs to be given some time to produce. He needs to make some new signings, bring in some new players and he just has to get used to it there.

“It’s not for me to say [where United will finish in the league], but I’m a strong backer of him and he’s someone of whom I’m a massive fan.”
