PSG are confident of wrapping up the signature of Angel Di Maria by next weekend, according to tomorrow’s Mirror.
The Argentine has been pushing for a move away from Old Trafford all summer, and in truth has never really looked comfortable in Manchester, after arriving with the weight of a British record transfer fee last summer.
Di Maria made a great start to life in the Premier League, but dramatically faded in the second half of the season, to the point that he lost his place in the team.
PSG and United were reported to have officially entered talks earlier this week, and with an agreement believed to be in place for a transfer, the final sticking point is over the fee, with United keen to avoid too much depreciation on their asset.
The Mirror claim PSG will get Di Maria for £45.9m, a significant reduction on the £60m United paid for him last summer.
