Giwa Deserves Victory

Giwa FC coach, Aminu Musa has said his side ably deserved the hard fought victory against Nasarawa United.

The Tin City side defeated the Solid Miners 2-1 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day 18 encounter on Wednesday at their adopted ground, Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Goal each from forwards, Ocheme Edoh and Amos Gyang proved adequate to hand the Jos outfit the maximum three points at stake.

Musa said he is excited with the result as it will serve as huge boost for the weekend road trip clash at Kwara United.
“Of course, we are clearly the better side and ably deserved to claim the whole three points.
“We were reduced to 10-man with the straight red to my defender, Aminu Mbai yet we managed to
hang on till the last whistle.
“Our top striker, Ibrahim Shuaibu, too was unavailable due to card suspension so I think we played better to deserve our victory.
“The victory will certainly serve as big boost for the expected difficult clash at Kwara United on Sunday.
“I feel happy to have managed the glaring shortcomings to record this heartwarming victory against tough opponents, Nasarawa United.
“Nasarawa United are good side and actually fought hard to even score but met an unyielding side,” said Musa to supersport.com.
The Jos-based side have increased their points haul to 31 from possible 54 in the 18-week top flight.
