Ismaily Set To Announce Mido As New Coach

Ismaily board member Waled Al Kelany has revealed that they are in advanced talks with former Zamalek coach Ahmed Mido Hossam to lead the team next season. Former coach Tarek Yehia was booted out three days ago by the club following a string of poor results.

"We have shortlisted coaches to lead the team in the last match of the domestic league and the next season. The two coaches are Hassan Shehata and Ahmed Hossam 'Mido.' Shehata said that he can't accept the offer as he is under contract with Arab Contractors and Mido accepted the offer," Kelany said.

"He (Mido) accepted all our terms and in the coming hours we will announce him as the team's new head coach."


The former Tottenham striker was also attracting interesting from Caf Champions League campaigners Smouha SC, before accepting to take charge of Ismaily.

Mido, 32, first had his coaching spell with Zamalek in 2014 and led them to win the Egypt
