Manchester United, PSG Agree €63m Transfer Deal For Angel Di Maria

PSG & Man United agree a €63m deal plus bonuses for Angel Di Maria [L’Equipe] Has it actually happened? Have PSG and Manchester United actually agreed terms for Angel Di Maria’s transfer?

That’s the news coming out of France on Saturday night, as respected French paper L’Equipe have announced that Di Maria’s move to Paris is basically a done deal.

So what do we know.

In almost a verbatim translation of what L’Equipe wrote in their article, we are told that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the transfer of Angel Di Maria to the French capital. The Ligue 1 champions will pay almost 63 million euros, without bonus, for the Argentinian international.

So when will the deal become official?

L’Equipe say 28-year-old Di Maria could meet his new PSG teammates in New Jersey on Monday, after he passes a medical examination in New York, in the same New York Red Bulls medical facilities which Benjamin Stambouli used for his move from Tottenham.

Despite previous reports claiming that Di Maria had settled terms with PSG, L’Equipe now claim that one of the other hold-ups in the deal are some contractual details which need to be settled between PSG and the player.

In particular, Di Maria is still discussing his contract length: between four or five years.
