Yahaya chose Spurs ahead of several of Europe’s top clubs including Manchester City, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen.
Top sources have confirmed that the 16-year-old Yahaya will be started on an annual salary of 250,000 Pounds at the London club.
Yahaya was one of the top stars as Nigeria won a record fourth U17 World Cup in Abu Dhabi in November.
Available information says he chose Celta ahead of two other options presented to him by Spurs – Dutch side PSV Eindhoven and Standard Liege in Belgium.
The player visited all three clubs during a 17-day tour of Europe to finally decide on Celta Vigo because of their policy of blooding youngsters.
