WORLD CUP: Nigeria's Vincent Enyeama Tops Best Goalie Ranking In Brazil

Enyeama has become one reason why a lot of football lovers in Nigeria have become proud while some fans in Brazil might have a reason to be happy to be Nigerians. Enyeama was voted has the best keeper for 2013/2014 season in Lique 1 and you can here most of the commentators saying Vincent Enyeama had the most clean sheets in Europe's top five leagues.

In Brazil Enyeama has had more saves than any other goal keeper and has kept two clean sheets. Some might argue that facing the likes of Edin Dzeko might not be a test at the peak level but if Enyeama manages to keep Messi, Aguero, Higuain and the likes quiet on Wednesday then most fans around the world will definitely label him as the best.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has been ranked the best goalkeeper so far in the on-going FIFA World Cup by Castrol’s player rating index.


The Lille of France shot stopper who won two Man of the Match awards in Nigeria’s three matches at the last edition of the competition in South Africa 2010 has so far
made eight saves,the most so far by any goalkeeper and is yet to concede a goal in the Eagles two opening games.

Coming second behind Enyeama is Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa who also hasn’t conceded a goal as well but is ranked second with 9.25 points. While the trio of Jasper Cillessen from the Netherlands (9.04 points), Hugo Lloris (8.86 points)and Claudio Bravo (8.82 points) from Chile all complete the top five.

The trio of Juwon Oshaniwa, Kenneth Omeruo and Joseph Yobo are the remaining Nigerian players in the top 100 after two rounds of matches in Brazil.
