(NIGERIA 2 ARGENTINA 3) Ahmad Musa Was The Star Of The Match Not Lionel Messi - Dipo Liadi

Little known Ahmad Musa stood against four times Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi during the Nigeria vs Argentina match which ended 2-3 in favour of the South Americans. Messi took the shine first scoring a loose ball in the 3rd minute of kick off, the Argentines who weren't expecting an early goal stood up and rejoiced with chants and noise all over the stadium, the stadium visible colours at that moment was simply with and light blue.

The fans had three spectacular reasons to rejoice after the goal, they scored an early goal, it was Lionel Messi that scored and finally Lionel Messi had become the second Argentine to ever score in three World Cup Matches consecutively a record previously owned by the great football Legend Diego Maradona.

After the celebration Nigeria kicked the ball again in believe and lo and behold Ahmad musa took on the defender perfectly and rolled a superb shot into the net shocking the Argentines and cutting their joy shot just after 1min and 20seconds after Lionel Messi scored. The expression could be seen round the Stadium the Nigerian supporters who looked few considering that 80% of the people in the stadium had Argentina's jersey on took over the atmosphere of the stadium and the visible colour turned to white and green instantly.

More importantly Messi's joy was stolen and i understand him a bit someone put him to an instant challenge, he didn't like it, he probably was saying who is this boy, i just scored and he equalized instantly....... lol

The match went on with various goal chances for Argentina which was aided with several blocks and saves from the leading goalkeeper of the tournament and it looked like Nigeria had earned a good draw in half time but there was a foul and Messi took a direct free kick in added time which went inside the net dashing the hope of the Super Eagles and millions of African fans, an amazing free kick that left Nigeria's Vincent Enyeama helpless.

Again the atmosphere radiated in white and blue ridiculing the Nigerian supporters who felt the keeper should have done better. After some few seconds the whistle was blown for half time and Lionel looked to have shut Musa and the Eagles up but the game still had a surprise left.

Lionel Messi's goal was scored in added time of first half which is recorded as 45(+1)). Immediately the second half kicked off Ahmad Musa found himself in a comfortable position before the keeper and he placed the shot perfectly in the angle of the post thereby making the keeper dive in another direction. When Messi looked up to see who did the damage it was Ahmad Musa again who had earned himself a brace like Lionel and who also made sure he responded back to Messi's goal minute by minute. His goal was scored in the 47th minute of play.

However Rojo sealed and won the match for Argentina in the 50th minute. If Musa could rival Messi he was the star boy of the night. In recent times we all know it only takes a Cristiano Ronaldo to rival a Lionel Messi in a match but yesterday night it took a Musa to cancel out a Messi brace minute after minute.

Despite most headlines praising Messi for his brace the little known Musa in reality took the shine and should have hit the headlines more than the master of the game Lionel Messi. Musa deserves to be praised he made sure the Messi brace had no importance in the match. Think it a bit, it was the Rojo goal that won the match and if the 3rd goal was not scored we would have ended in a draw. All hail Ahmad Musa......
