Falconets Beat South Africa 7-0 On Aggregate To Qualify For 2014 World Cup

Nigeria’s under-20 women’s team have booked a place in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, after beating South Africa 1-0 in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Striker Adeboyejo Yetunde scored the the match winner in the first-half as the Falconets sealed a 7-0 aggregate victory against Batsesana.


They become the first African team to qualify for the 2014 women’s under-20 World Cup- billed for Canada- making them the only team from the continent to have featured in every edition of the championship since its inception in 2002 (incidentally in Canada).
