DIPO LIADI - Man City Can Make Mourinho End Trophy-less For The 2nd Time

The final days of the special one at the Bernabue looked quite promising with the prospect of a Copa Dey Rel final to be played against Atletico Madrid on home soil. The surprise that springed  up later was a defeat on home soil which ended a disappointing season for the Madristas. Jose described that season has the worst of his career as various factors were responsible for the failure including a fall out with most players.

Mourinho's move to Chelsea hasn't been disappointing but a more competitive Premier League as made the job harder. A more attacking Manchester City and a now spending Arsenal have both made Chelsea hopes short. With Chelsea attackers mis firing the job as been harder for Jose and the absence of quality strikers in the January transfer market has hindered Mourinho from signing a striker which is most needed.

City keeps scoring goals and  are on the verge of re-writing history, Chelsea keeps squandering opportunities to get to the top and Arsenal will most likely fall in February. With the pace of things Chelsea missed out of the Capital One Cup to sunderland  and are only left with three more Cups.

Manchester City are set to wrestle Mourinho in the FA Cup (knockout) and in the League on Monday. If Man City Defeats Chelsea in both matches then the Blues are out of two Championships and will be left with the Champions League alone which is not realistic considering the form of teams in Europe. If Chelsea wins the FA Cup Match then City can forget the Quadrope dream.

Mourinho and Pellegrini are both experienced managers and are both aware of what the match results might cause. One thing is certain both matches will be played at the Etihad where all League matches have been won with all Top teams suffering massive defeats at the hands of Pellegrini's men.

However when Man City visited Stamford Bridge they were defeated by Chelsea. City holds the advantage and a double loss will only see them out of the FA Cup while they will still top Chelsea on go difference. A double loss will most likely make Mourinho end Trophy-less for the second time.
