CHELSEA: Egypt Happy Over Salah's Blue's Signing

Egyptian players and coaches are happy after Mohamed Salah signed for Chelsea after short negotiations with his side FC Basel. Here are some of the reactions from Egypt after the Blues announced the deal.

Arab contractors chairman Sherif Habib has assured everyone that he feels very proud after his former player joined one of the biggest clubs in England and Europe. Salah joined FC Basel from the Egyptian side Arab Contractors..

"I am proud that Salah joined to Chelsea. This shows that I was right when I refused to sell him to Egyptian teams like Zamalek and Al Ahly. Now Salah is making a name for Egyptian players in Europe after Ahmed Mido Hossam retired. Basel asked us to recommend them some more players like Salah and we are now working on that" Habib said.

Meanwhile Amr Zaki of Raja Casablanca said “ this is a great step for Salah and we wish him good luck with Chelsea. I ask all the Egyptian teams to let their players go to Europe and play there. Just look to the strong teams in Africa and how many of their players play in Europe and that is what makes them strong".

Rio attacker Ahmed Hassan Kukka also chimed in saying that Salah is the first Egyptian player sign for Chelsea and that gives him a great honor " we wish him good luck , he is a good player and deserves the best".

Current Egypt head coach Shawky Gharib also expressed his happiness to see one of his team’s player in a team like Chelsea " That will give Salah good experience and he will show that with Egyptian senior team".
