Jordan were hammered 5-0 by Uruguay in their World Cup playoff on Wednesday, but a couple of home supporters were winners in the banner stakes as their message got worldwide exposure. A banner was spotted at the Amman International Stadium with an image of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez sinking his teeth in Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, with the message “Suarez, Don’t Bite! Al-Nashama”. The banner goes to prove just how popular the Premier League is worldwide, and how an incident from months ago in a match between Liverpool and Chelsea can have reverberations in the international setting of a high-profile World Cup match. Don't forget that we also reported recently that Fifa 14 also included it too in the graphics of its software. Poor Suarez, that act will live for centuries.
