Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has hinted that Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo will soon be recalled to the national team. The Fenerbahce defender has been frozen out of the team since Nigeria were crowned as African champions earlier this year in South Africa. But Keshi has now revealed that the 33-year old will soon return to the team. The big boss disclosed that he has been in constant touch with the player who he insists remains the captain of the national team.
Keshi said: “Yobo is very much alive in this team than any other player. Yobo and I spoke before the game (vs Ethiopia) and our ambition is to make sure that he gets that 100th cap and by God’s grace he will get it. Yobo has lost his place in the Super Eagles after falling behind Kenneth Omeruo, Azubuike Egwuekwe in the pecking order.
