Liverpool have offered their star striker Luis Suarez to Real Madrid according to Madrid based paper, Marca. Marca had a huge influence in the deal to unsettle Tottenham winger Gareth Bale and lure him to the Spanish capital and are at it again, this time to deprive the Anfield side of their best player. The 26-year old Uruguay striker attracted interest from Arsenal over the summer and they lodged two bids but both were turned down by Anfield chiefs. But Marca have claimed that Suarez, who is reportedly the first name on manager Carlo Ancelotti’s wish-list, has “once again been offered to the Bernabeu club”.
The paper reckon Suarez came close to joining Real last summer and allege that his agent Pere Guardiola even reached a verbal agreement to sign the Uruguayan forward. Marca claim talks were held over a £40m move and that his length of contract and salary were both discussed. Suarez is desperate for Champions League football but Liverpool’s flying start to the season indicate that his wishes could be fulfilled at Anfield.
