The former Kano Pillars player had endured a torrid start to his Kilmarnock career due to injuries, but made his second start in the SPL as Dundee United visited the Killies.
Kilmarnock were in the ascendacy in a rain soaked match at Rugby Park as Dundee looked to add to their five staright victories.
Gabriel Reuben was harshly booked in the 18th minute for clattering Stuart Amstrong when it appeared that the Dundee player actually tumbled over the imposing Nigerian midfielder.
The ensuing battle between the players generated into a tussle as Armstrong clattered into Reuben without recourse from the referee.
Reuben and Armstrong soon clashed five minutes later in the 22nd minute and Reuben, who had been earlier booked had to go off as Kilmarnock were reduced to ten men for the better part of the game.
Dundee United made good use of the numerical advantage as goals from Keith Watson, Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Gould and David Goodwillie's goal in between a Kris Boyd consolation ensured Dundee United left Rugby Park with maximum points.
Gabriel Reuben will now serve a suspension and will hope to get back into the team and establish himself.
