Keshi, who made the disclosure during the weekly parley with journalists at the team’s camp in Abuja, also noted that the final decision on the camping site and the city would be taken during a meeting involving the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the team’s technical crew.

Asked to give Nigerians an insight into the programme he submitted to the football federation, Keshi replied: “We are trying to see if we can get our camping site in USA because it is not far from Brazil. They have the same hot weather condition with Brazil at the same time for that tournament. If we can start the camping there, it will really be good us.
“For the camping city we are targeting in US, I would say that there are so many camping sites in the city that we can settle for, ranging from Miami, Houston among others. The good thing is almost all the cities have the same weather condition with Brazil. I want to point out that the final decision rests on what the football federation and I finally agreed,” he said.

He also cleared the air on whether he had shot the door on the like of Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, Peter Osaze Odemwingie among others, stressing: “For the return of Joseph Yobo, I would say why not. He is a part of us and still our captain.

“If we think he is healthy and ready, we will bring him in. I speak very often with him, but invitation for the World Cup is not going to be who you are, it is what you can give us and what you can give Nigerians right now.

“My invitation has never been based on sentiment. It has no age barrier because we see quality European players above 30 years old still playing for the national team. If I have the same, I will play the person.

“I will play anybody who can give the team what we want. So, it is not about age, but the commitment and quality the player will bring into the team. It is the same thing with Peter Osaze, Ike Uche, among others,” he noted.
