Stephen Keshi Worried Over Moses & Mikels Fading Club Roles

Nigeria head coach Stephen Keshi has expressed worry over the recent inactivity of Victor Moses in the Barclays Premier League.

The 23-year-old attacking winger has made just five appearances for the Reds in 2014, including one start against Bournemouth in the FA Cup in January. Keshi could not hide his concern over the worrying stats for the former Crystal Palace man, who he regards as a key player in his plans for this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

He said John Obi Mikel's recent role at Chelsea is not alarming compared to that Moses.

The 52-year-old Nigerian manager revealed that he will hold talks with Moses when he arrives in the US for this Wednesday's international friendly against Mexico at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

"I don't have so much problem with Mikel (playing as a bit-player) because he's professional. He gets game time here and there which is okay by me. But it's Victor (Moses) that I have concerns about because he is not even playing at all. I'm not happy about the situation but I cannot do anything about it. I know (Liverpool manager) Rodgers (Brendan) wants to win every game and he has to pick the best team. But I'll talk to Victor when he comes to Atlanta," Keshi told Brila FM in a radio interview.

Moses has made 15 appearances for Liverpool this season and has scored once in the 2-2 draw against Swansea in September 2013.
