Khedira has been largely absent for Real Madrid this season through injury, however the German international is now available again for selection having regained his fitness.
The suggestion from Fichajes, however, is that Khedira may now be outside the scope of the first team plans at Madrid. With the likes of Xabi Alonso and Luka Modric holding down regular spots in the centre of Real’s midfield, 27-year-old Khedira is now said to be considering his future, with his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu said to expire 2015.
With Khedira’s Spanish future in the balance, the rumour now being started is the ex-Real coach Jose Mourinho would be happy to take the German off their hands for a fee of up to €45 million.
