Nigerian international, Victor Obinna Nsofor, scored both goals for Chievo as they defeated Inter Milan 2-1 in a Serie A match at the Marc'Antonio Bentegodi Stadium on Sunday.
Nsofor came off the bench in the 73rd minute to replace defender Dario Dainelli in a tactical switch by Chievo manager, Eugenio Corini.
At that time, the Yellow-Blues were trailing Inter Milan by a first half goal scored by Marco Andreolli.
But Nsofor turned the game on its head within seconds of coming off the bench by scoring to draw Chievo level.
The Nigerian striker ran into Inter's penalty area and fired the ball past Juan Pablo Carrizo and into the far corner from a tight angle.
Nsofor continued to torment his former club by running at the Inter Milan defence at will and even shot off target from 20 yards in the 77th minute.
Two minutes later, Nsofor had a sight at goal but could only shoot straight at Carrizo in goal for Inter Milan.
Right at the death, Nsofor sealed all three points for Chievo when his effort from outside Inter's box flew past Carrizo and into the bottom left corner for his club's winner.
The former Enyimba forward has made 10 appearances for Chievo this season and coincidentally his brace of goals against Inter are his first goals for the club since joining on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow in January.
The 27-year-old is expected to join up with his Nigerian teammates later in May after he was named in the 30-man provisional squad of the African champions for the 2014 World Cup.
