LA LIGA : Ike Uche scores 13th La Liga goal

Nigeria striker Ikechukwu Uche scored his 13th goal in La Liga on Saturday evening as his club won 4-0 over visiting Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio El Madrigal.
A 22nd minute goal from the Nigerian put the Yellow Submarine ahead before goals from Bruno Soriano, Jonathan Pereira and Jaume Costa sealed victory for the hosts.


Uche’s tally now puts him in 14th place on the Liga goal scorers chart and tied with David Villa and Javi Guerra on 13 goals.

He also holds the record for the highest scoring Nigerian in Spain after breaking Finidi George’s haul of 11 goals with Real Betis in the 1990s.

Villareal are now in seventh spot on the table with 56 points.
